Word 2011 For Mac Draw Straight Lines Freeform Tool

I know there is the option just to draw a line with the mouse, but my hand is not so steady and the line ends up all shaken. I saw a suggestion somewhere to add points or edit points in the line, but I can't find it in office mac 2011. Unconstrained straight segments: Hold the Option / Alt key to draw unconstrained straight segments. However, to draw a polyline path: Draw a line segment. Do one of the following: Keeping the Shift or Option / Alt key pressed, place the cursor at the endpoint of the line. When the path-continuation cursor is displayed, click the mouse button and draw another line.

Feb 17, 2013  Yeah, but some of them -- like the Line AutoShape tool -- still don't work as custom additions to a toolbar. Keyboard shortcuts won't work for the broken ones either. Even the Line tools in the Lines dropdown are munged. It's' been that way since day 1. To draw a shape that has both curved and straight segments, click Freeform. To draw a shape that looks like it was drawn with a pen by hand, or to create smooth curves, click Scribble. Click anywhere in the document, and then drag to draw. To draw a straight segment with the Freeform tool, click. I do get a dropbox with New, when I first open Snipping Tool but this is to select what type of border is wanted for the capture, ie draw it free hand, a rectangle, the whole window or whole screen.

Horizontal Line feature, artistic linesThose lines are certainly functional, but Word can draw lines that are a step (or two or three) up from the basic lines shown above. Choose Borders and Shading from the Format menu and click the Horizontal Line button at the bottom of the resulting dialog box. (It might take a few seconds for all the lines to load.) Just double-click a line to insert it—that's all there is to it. You can choose from several. This feature's a bit harder to find in 2007 and 2010. On the Home tab, click the Borders and Shading drop down (in the Paragraph group) and select Borders and Shading.
